Trane Air Handler Advantage
Your central air conditioning system consists of two main parts - an outdoor and an indoor unit. The air handler is the indoor unit, and includes a heat pump or cooling coil and air blower. Its job, quite simply, is to circulate conditioned air throughout your home. When paired with an air conditioner, it circulates cool air through your house during the summer months. When matched with a heat pump, it works all year long, circulating cool air in the summer and warm air in the winter. It is important to note that the air handler makes a tremendous contribution to the overall efficiency of your system. The reason is simple. With a very efficient air handler, the compressor in your outdoor unit doesn't have to work as hard to achieve the desired temperature. And the quicker the desired temperature is reached, less energy is used and more money is saved.
Each component of a Trane home comfort system is reliable, durable and built to last. When the outdoor unit is matched in size and SEER rating with the indoor unit, you can enjoy the highest system efficiency possible.
